I'm Carla, a professional photographer based in North Yorkshire. Although I'm a real home bird, going on adventures and meeting lovely new people is what makes me tick.
I love the beach, chocolate oranges, Cholula hot sauce, binging on crime drama series, live music, sunsets, trying out ridiculous workout classes, and finding new ways to cook the fruit and veg I've grown. If you ask nicely, I might give you the best recipe for a rhubarb crumble cake that will simply blow your mind.
For as long as I can remember, I've just loved taking photographs.
It sounds a bit cliché - I know. My style is to capture natural images in a documentary style, no strange posing, just relaxed and real images that will make you laugh, smile or cry for years to come.
The real boss around here is Nelly. When she's not snoozing on the office sofa or stealing socks, I'm out walking through her favourite fields.
And last - but very much not least (as he's reading this over my shoulder as I type) is my guitar-making-house-hoovering-kitchen-dancing husband, Sam. He's quite cool and is my number one supporter. If you like guitars you can take a look at his work here... but come back once you're done looking at his snazzy craftsmanship, we've got photography to chat about, remember!
"They are simply beautiful. We knew you were going to make everything look amazing because we had seen your previous work on your website, but honestly, we were blown away! You were by far the best investment of our whole wedding. Thank you thank you - not only for your brilliant photography / friendliness / vibe but for going way above and beyond to do kind things - you sorted my veil, helped my mum when she was struggling to button my dress with her arthiritis, gave my sister in law camera batteries when her Polaroid ran out, and ran off to find me hand sanitiser after feeding the sheep! You were a huge part of our day and we were so glad you were there."
