Carolanne & Ian | Crook Hall

Updated: Aug 13, 2019

It's been exactly a year today since Carolanne & Ian's outdoor wedding at the stunning Crook Hall in Durham - wishing you both a very Happy Anniversary!! It was a perfect summer's day with a relaxed and fun vibe; wild flowers, afternoon tea, the conga, plenty of prosecco and a ceilidh. What more could you want!

Crook Hall is the Narnia of Durham. A stone's throw from the city centre, you step through the gates and are transported from the hustle and bustle to the most beautiful gardens and relaxed atmosphere. Carolanne made her bridal preparations in the annex, whilst Ian and his ushers donned their sporrans in the main house before heading down the winding paths to the outdoor ceremony under the gazebo. Following the ceremony, guests followed the sound of bagpipes to the gardens & lawn to enjoy a glass of fizz in the mid-afternoon sun. The setting for afternoon tea felt like it had been taken directly from the pages of alice in wonderland; outside surrounded by trees, paper lanterns and bunting. After sneaking away for group and couple shots, the party continued inside with a ceilidh band and dancing until late, with evening snacks of hog roast buns and Crêpes! I absolutely loved every moment.
